Jingle Bells - Part 2

So you had a look at my DIY Christmas Decorations ideas on a budget which will hopefully take a small load off, that is if you get little helpers to chip in and not do all the work by yourself.

Now we move on to Part 2 where i will be bringing you some diy gift ideas over the next couple of days that will also be on a budget without looking too cheap, which we definitely DO NOT want.

You will need to get your handy helpers to assist you with these. This "stressful time" can become a bonding time as well.

Have some fun and let me know how it goes...

1. Chalkboard mug

Supplies :
A Porcelain Mug
Tape
Porcelaine chalkboard paint (You can get this at any crafts store. But be sure not to use normal   chalkboard paint cause it just won't work)
A watercolour paint brush (The bristles are soft so it works better)

Supplies ready? Lets get started:

1. Your mug has to be clean and dry before doing anything so give it a wash and dry it real good before getting started.

2. Using your tape, cover the area of the mug that you do not want to be painted.

3. With your paint brush, carefully paint using your chalkboard paint and if you do make a mistake, don't stress! You can gently wipe it off with a wet cloth or wet paper towel but i suggest you use the paper towel as you can throw it away when you are done.

4. Please be aware that this paint is not recommended for surfaces that come in contact with food so i don't advise you paint the inside of the mug.

5. Once you are done painting, slowly remove the tape. Please don't wait till the paint is dry because it will be difficult to remove the tape then.

6. Done and dusted! Be sure to give this gift with some chalk.

Lots more great diy gift ideas to come. Enjoy!
